BEFORE AND AFTER CARE

For best results, hydrate 24 hours before you come in. When your cells are hydrated, they can push out toxins in a gentler way. For optimal hydration, add some fresh lemon squeezes to your water. Rather than drinking large quantities of water, take sips all day.

Bring a water bottle with you.

The Light System charges your cells. When this happens, your cells will begin to push toxins out. In order to facilitate this process, it is necessary to get toxins to exit your body. The most efficient way to do this is to bathe using our detox bath recipe. You can make this at home, or you can purchase one from us at the center. It is also very important to re-mineralize your body and we have several options for you, including adding minerals to your bath.

BATH RECIPE

  • 1.5 cups of Sea Salt. (Sea salt will pull the toxins out through your skin).
  • 1.5 cups of Baking Soda (baking soda can help neutralize any bad stuff in your water)
  • 1.5 cups of Dead Sea Salt. (minerals are important to detoxification). You can also use Epsom Salt but be sure there are no additives in it.
  • Optional add ins: Borax, pure essential oils, fresh organic herbs

Get the bath quite warm so that your pores can open up and let the detox bath salts pull the toxins out of your body. Stay in the tub for a minimum of 30 minutes, an hour is even better. Rinse in the shower right after your bath. Children should also take a detox bath although it doesn’t have to be as long.

If you do not have a bathtub, you can take a foot bath, but it is recommended that you do this at least twice. Use 1/3 of the recipe for foot baths or purchase a footbath detox kit from the center.

If you come in frequently, at some point, you will not have to take as many detox baths because your body will become less and less toxic.
Pet detox. It has been found that pets do not have to take a detox bath but be aware that pets may detox in other ways such as through their waste. They may have to eliminate more often after a session. You can also take saunas or utilize red light therapy for detoxing.

If you do not pull the toxins out of your body, it is likely that you will reabsorb them. Your skin is your largest organ and is designed to detox in this way.

Even if you do take a detox bath, your body may want to continue to detox in other ways such as through your waste.
Some detoxification symptoms can include: headache, fogginess, aches and pains, tiredness and others. It just depends on the individual. Some may not experience any detox symptoms.

Eat a light meal before you come to your session. A heavy meal is not recommended and especially not a fatty meal. Try not to eat too much before coming. The same goes for after your session.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. It is not recommended to drink sugary drinks, caffeine, energy drinks or really anything but water or herbal teas.
Alcohol is not recommended before or after a session. It is best to abstain 24 hours before and after.

Try to build in some relaxation time after your session if at all possible.
